Shopping at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel is always a fun experience whether you’re looking for that perfect souvenir or if you’re just in need of some “essential” items. Like donuts. Or candy.

We love shopping at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – the Zawadi Marketplace is full of incredible items that you just won’t find anywhere else at Disney World.

Sure you’ll still be able to find the plush toys and other Disney-branded merchandise that you’ll see all over the theme parks. But Zawadi Marketplace also sells unique African art, jewelry, clothing, paintings of the resort by artist Larry Dotson, and more.

One of my favorite souvenirs from Animal Kingdom Lodge is a cheetah print coffee mug that I haven’t seen anywhere else on property. The mug is covered in Mickey-shaped cheetah print and it’s huge – which makes it the perfect vessel for my morning cup of coffee.

Guests will also find AKL logo merchandise, fun safari-inspired clothing, and more.

And if you find that you’re in need of toiletries you can pick those up in the Zawadi Marketplace too. Other essential items on sale include snack foods, some other grocery items, and beverages including milk, pop, juice, water, and more.

If you’re visiting Kidani Village you can stop by Johari Treasures for grocery essentials for your Disney Vacation Club villa, souvenirs, and more. It’s also where Kidani Village guests can refill their refillable mugs.
