As the most well-traveled Disney guest knows, there is more to Walt Disney World than just four theme parks and two water parks. While we love visiting the theme parks and riding all our favorite attractions, there is something to be said for sticking around your hotel and seeing what kind of new adventures you can find.
The Animal Kingdom has so many activities for guests that there’s no way you could fit them in during one trip (sounds like the theme parks, right?) This is a good things as it means you’ll come back again and again and find something new and exciting to try.
The next time you visit the AKL check out the monthly activity sheet that you’re given at check in. You’ll find a list of “Culinary Explorations,” “Animal Programs and Wildlife Discoveries,” and “Cultural Immersion” programs.
The Cultural Immersion programs take place at various locations around Jambo House and Kidani Village. Most are for guests ages 4 and older, while a few are more “adult oriented.”
The activities include: Medallion Rubbing, African Face Painting, Music of the Savanna, African Folktales, and a Cultural Safari.
One of the more popular programs is a Cultural Tour of Sanaa – the popular restaurant located in the Kidani Village. This tour is led by a Cultural Representative of the hotel and gives guests a look into the inspiration behind Sanaa.
We love the resort activities at Animal Kingdom Lodge – there is so much to discover beyond the savannas!
