If you were to put all the Disney World resorts and parks in a race, who would win? Well, here at AKLResort.com, we think that Animal Kingdom would!
That’s just what happened on Saturday, May 7, as horse Animal Kingdom won the Kentucky Derby. The horse shares no ties with Disney or Disney World, but we like it just the same!
ThemeParkInsider.com reports that Animal Kingdom is not the first horse with a theme park name. Epcot, Disneyland, and Magic Kingdom have all been used as horse names before too, though not Hollywood Studios — yet!
On Saturday, Walt Disney World congratulated Animal Kingdom on its Facebook page, saying, “Congrats to Animal Kingdom for winning the Kentucky Derby! We love the name.”
