On a recent visit to the Walt Disney World Resort I had the chance to dine at Boma for dinner. Having dined at Boma for breakfast before I was rather excited about trying out the dinner buffet and it was a delicious experience.

Our dining party consisted of 10 people – six adults and 4 kids – and we were seated at a centrally-located table for 10. We had a great view of the dining room and we were close to the buffet line too.

Since we had food allergies in our party the chef came out and walked my daughter and I through the buffet line, explaining what was safe and what wasn’t.

Thankfully almost everything was safe for her peanut/tree nut/sesame allergies. The biggest “no” items were on the dessert table but chef made sure she had a special dessert (vanilla ice cream with allergy-safe cookies)!

The dinner buffet at Boma is full of flavorful dishes and many of them look exotic but are worth a taste. One of my favorite dishes was the Bobotie – a staple at the African booth at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival.

There are several types of soup on the buffet in addition to stews, curries, and salads. We also enjoyed pap, sweet potatoes, several types of vegetables, and more. Meat selections included chicken, ribs, and a carving station where you could get beef that was perfectly roasted!

You’ll want to try to the cornbread too – it was amazing. Other favorites included sweet potato fries, couscous, and the ribs.

Of course no meal at Boma is complete with a trip to the dessert buffet and since it was a vacation I decided to try one of everything. The famous Zebra Domes didn’t disappoint but the highlight for me was a chocolate shell filled with coffee flavored mousse.

We had several picky eaters in our group (kids and adults) but everyone agreed it was one of the best meals of our entire trip. Dinner at Boma is already at the top of our ADR list for the next vacation.
