Fun for all ages at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

Uzima Springs Pool

If you’re lucky (or wise) enough to include a resort day in your Disney vacation schedule, chances are the last thing you want to hear from anyone in your group is “we are so bored!” At Animal Kingdom Lodge, boredom is definitely not something you have to worry about.

Amazing pools – Spend your resort day relaxing at Uzima Springs Pool an 11,000 square foot, zero entry pool that features a 67-foot water slide. There’s also a children’s wading pool nearby. If you’re staying at Kidani Village head over to the Samawati Spring Pool area where you’ll find a zero entry pool featuring a 128-foot water slide.

At Samawati Springs kids will also find the Uwanja Camp, a water playground featuring three play areas based on age. Kids ages 4 and younger can play at the Observation Station, kids ages 5-7 can have a blast in the Departure Zone and kids ages 8 and older can get soaked at Base Camp.

Hakuna Matata Playground – The kids are tired of swimming but still have energy to burn, so why not take them over to the playground. The playground overlooks the flamingo area and savannah. As an added bonus, it’s open 24 hours a day.

Pumbaa’s Fun and Games Arcade – If rain threatens to dampen your day or the kids are itching for some video game fun, head over to the arcade. It runs on the Arcade Cards system where you must purchase points to play. Cards can be recharged throughout your stay

Simba’s Clubhouse – After such a busy day mom and dad are looking to relax over dinner at Jiko. Time to take the kids to Simba’s Clubhouse, a supervised activity center for kids age 3-12. The kids will have a chance to play games, make crafts, watch Disney movies and eat dinner. The clubhouse is open every day from 4:30 p.m. until midnight.

As always, be sure to grab a resort activities sheet at the front desk.
