Will Disney Start Charging Resort Fees for On-Property Hotels?

One of the “perks” about staying at a Walt Disney World Resort like the Animal Kingdom Lodge is the lack of resort fees – those pesky additional nightly fees that many hotels charge guests.

That might be changing though – it seems that Disney has been surveying guests about the possibility of a $15-per-night resort fee that would be tacked on to the per-night room rate.

This possible resort fee would cover various items including the Disney Magical Express, MagicBands, priority Fast+Pass planning at your resort, Extra Magic Hours at the theme parks, parking at the hotel and the theme parks, and Wi-Fi.

There is no official word yet from Disney on whether or not the resort fee will actually happen in the near future.

Would a $15-per-night room fee change the way you stay at Disney World – and would it change what level of hotel you decided to stay at? Let us know in the comments.
